OLIGOSCAN
A quick additional insight into minerals, trace elements and oxidative stress
OligoScan is a non-invasive assessment method that uses light spectrometry on the palm of the hand to examine certain tissue-related patterns.
The scan is quick and painless, and within a few minutes it provides a report with information on areas such as:
-
minerals
-
trace elements
-
certain metals
-
antioxidant balance
-
liver function
For me, the real value lies in what this information adds to the overall picture.

Why minerals matter so much
Minerals and trace elements are involved in almost every major process in the body.
These include:
-
energy production
-
enzyme activity
-
muscle function
-
nervous system function
-
immune function
-
antioxidant protection
-
recovery
A deficiency, imbalance or increased burden can therefore affect the body on several levels.
But a single mineral value never tells the whole story.
That is why I do not use OligoScan as a stand-alone diagnostic tool, but as an additional source of information within
The Regulation Method.
Looking beyond deficiencies.
The important question is not simply: “Do I have enough magnesium or zinc?”
It is also:
How do different minerals relate to one another?
Are there patterns that may be consistent with increased oxidative stress?
Is there a reason to look more closely at diet, supplementation or further laboratory testing?
For me, it is precisely this broader context that makes the scan valuable.
Metals and potential burden
OligoScan also reports parameters relating to a range of metals.
I always interpret these results with caution.
An elevated value on a screening test does not automatically amount to a medical diagnosis of toxicity.
If there is genuine concern about significant exposure or intoxication, appropriate conventional laboratory testing is the next step.
Its value within my method
OligoScan is never interpreted in isolation.
I consider the results alongside:
HRV — autonomic regulation and recovery
BIA — body composition and cellular reserve
Live Blood Analysis — microscopic observation
lifestyle and nutrition — the day-to-day context
Together, these create a broader picture of what the body may need.
Not more supplements, but a better understanding of what is actually relevant.
That is the added value of OligoScan.
